TOUR DETAIL
During this tour we visit the medieval village of Gerace, considered among the most beautiful villages in Italy, the medieval heart of Greek Calabria, a place full of history and of architectural beauty thanks to its buildings and its many churches. First we visit the ruins of the Norman Castle to move then towards the Norman Cathedral (the biggest and most important church in Southern Italy) (ticket €3, no guided visit) and the Three Churches square. We then stop at the farmhouse where in addition to visiting the farm, we attend the stringing of Caciocavallo (typical cheese of the area) and enjoy a guided tour of the frantoio (oil mill) of their local production. Lunch at the farmhouse restaurant with food of their own production. Return to hotel in the afternoon.
