Have you ever visited a ghost village?
Did you know that in this part of Calabria they still speak ancient Greek (Grecanic language)?
We start exploring the Grecanic area by visiting the charming ghost village of Pentedattilo, located in a unique and spectacular landscape, where you can appreciate the surreal atmosphere of an abandoned village, made of legends and traditions and where you can visit artisan shops and enjoy breathtaking landscapes.Then we stop in Bova Superiore, considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, capital of Grecanic Calabria, perched on the east side of Aspromonte (the White Mountain) and full of ancient history and traditions. Here we visit the peasants’ village in all its splendor between history and rural culture. Return to hotel in the early afternoon.
Possibility of lunch in a local restaurant/agritourism (meat or vegetarian lunch).
Possibility to visit the Greek village of Gallicianò (GALLICIANO’ SURCHARGE).
